About Auricular point

Ear acupoints are the acupoints distributed on the auricle. Also known as reaction point or stimulus point. When the internal organs or body of the human body are diseased, local reactions often occur in certain parts of the auricle, such as tenderness, nodules, discoloration, conductivity, etc. This phenomenon can be used as a reference for diagnosing diseases, or to stimulate these reaction points (ear points) through pressing beans and other methods to prevent and treat diseases. Since the 1980s, China has strengthened the research and application of ear acupoints, with more than 100 adaptations for ear acupoint treatment, including diseases in departments such as internal and external gynecology and children's five senses. In 1982, China established the Ear Acupuncture Collaborative Group, and in 1987, the National Ear Acupuncture Research Association was established. In 1992, the national standard of the National Standards of the People's Republic of China "Name and location of auricular points" was issued. According to the national standard GB/T13734-92, there are 91 ear points. In 2008, updates and modifications were made, and the current version is "GB/T13734-2008 Ear Acupoint Names and Localization".
